This is the most common problem with all 3D resin printers. The resin manufacturer’s recommended ideal temperature for 3D resin printing is 20C (68F) to 29C (85F).

The temperature changes quickly in a vat. The largest piece getting submerged into your liquid resin is your metal build plate, which is always colder than the ambient temperature. A constant change in the temperature may cause inaccurate printing. This is why you have to increase the exposure of your first few layers to compensate for the cold temperature.

Does heat change the chemical properties of resin?

Depending on where you live, humidity plays a role in your printing process. Increasing your 3D printing resin temperature forces humidity to evaporate in your vat. Heat also lowers the viscocity of the resin, making the resin easier to push away from the build plate, allowing a more accurate burn. This also prevents micro bubbles from getting trapped on the FEP caused by the suction. This is a rare occurrence, but does happen.
